About Solar Installation The Colony
We design, install and service solar for homeowners in The Colony, TX. Before we recommend panels, a battery or a repair, we look at what your home actually needs: the roof planes, the shading, the electrical panel and how you use power through the year.

How we approach every job
We have been in business for five years, and in that time we have worked on one trade: solar. One lesson stands out. Most disappointing systems were not caused by bad panels. They came from a guess made early, such as a shading problem nobody measured, an inverter sized for a different house or a fault traced to the wrong string.
So we start by looking. On a new system that means checking roof orientation and pitch, noting trees and nearby structures that cast shade in the low winter sun, and opening your main electrical panel to see what it can carry. On a system that is underperforming, it means reading the monitoring data and testing each string before anyone replaces a part. A dusty array, a failed connector and a tired inverter can all show the same dip on an app, and each one calls for a different fix.
Once we know the cause, we explain it in plain terms and show you what we found. You get a written estimate with parts and labor listed separately, and an honest answer when a cleaning or a small repair is all it takes. The installations and repairs we complete carry a 10-year workmanship warranty on solar. The company is BBB Accredited, A+ rating, and we would like every job to keep it that way.
What you can expect from us
- 01
Measured before it is sold
We size a system from your actual usage history and a shading review of your roof, not from a standard package. If battery storage will not earn its place in your home, we tell you.
- 02
Photos of what we find
During an inspection or repair visit we photograph the wiring, connectors, mounts and inverter. You see the same evidence we used to reach our answer.
- 03
Care at every attachment
Each mount is sealed and flashed so the roof stays watertight around it. Conduit runs straight and is secured, and wiring under the array is clipped up off the roof surface where heat and wind cannot wear at it.
- 04
A clean finish
We keep equipment placement tidy and sensible on the side of the house. Before we leave, we walk the site, pick up offcuts and fasteners, and show you how to read your monitoring.
